Terms of Service

By using the Tonebook iOS application ("Tonebook", "the app") you agree to these terms.

What Tonebook is

Tonebook provides AI-assisted personal color, hair, makeup, and style guidance. Reports are generated from a user-uploaded photo and onboarding answers using a combination of on-device computer vision (face + color sampling) and, optionally, a server-side LLM (OpenAI gpt-4o, accessed via our Supabase edge function). The output is a personal style guide; it is not medical, dermatological, psychological, or professional advice, and it is not a guarantee of accuracy.

What Tonebook is NOT

Not a medical or dermatological tool. We do not diagnose skin conditions, recommend treatments, or give medical advice.
Not facial recognition. We do not identify individuals biometrically.
Not body-image analysis. We do not score, grade, or rate appearance, attractiveness, or body type.
Not an objectively correct verdict. Color analysis is a guide. Photos are sensitive to lighting, filters, and camera quality. Your report includes confidence-tier and adjacent-season callouts to flag when the read is borderline.

Eligibility

Tonebook is intended for users 18 and older. By using Tonebook you confirm you are at least 18.

Event Look	One-time	$6.99	Charged once. No subscription.

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are subject to Apple's standard refund policy at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Acceptable use

Don't use Tonebook to:

Upload photos of people who have not consented
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
Resell access or scrape outputs at scale
Use outputs to make medical or psychological claims

Intellectual property

The Tonebook app, its design, content, and the AnalysisResult outputs are protected by copyright. You may save, share, and use your own report freely. You may not redistribute the app or its outputs as a substitute for using Tonebook.

Disclaimer

Tonebook is provided "as is". Color analysis results may vary based on lighting, makeup, camera quality, and personal preference. Tonebook makes no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.

Privacy

Use of Tonebook is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be surfaced in-app on next launch. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
