Outfit Recall / Guides
Keep an outfit journal.
Know where the photos go.
Outfit Recall stores your journal on your device and works offline. No account, advertising SDK or developer photo server is required.
What stays on your device
The app keeps the photos you select, outfit names, notes, tags, actual wear dates, plans, boards and saved searches in local app storage. The iOS app has no advertising or analytics SDKs. These support pages have no client-side analytics or advertising cookies.
Your operating system may back up app data according to your device and iCloud settings. A system backup is different from live cloud sync; Outfit Recall does not offer automatic live sync between devices in this release.
Use app lock with its limits in mind
The optional journal lock uses Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode through system authentication. It does not secure an archive you export or copies you save elsewhere. Widget photos are off until you choose to enable them; enabling them requires turning off app lock and can expose personal content on the Home Screen.
Understand the copy you are sharing
A single-photo share removes embedded location and camera metadata and excludes journal names, notes and wear history. A board contact sheet includes the board name, look names, cover photos and planned dates, but excludes notes and wear history and removes embedded photo metadata. Review what is visible before choosing a recipient.
A full archive is different: it preserves journal records and original image bytes, including Recently Deleted records and photos. Those images may contain location or camera metadata. Archives are not password-encrypted by Outfit Recall. Follow the export and restore guide and keep the file private.
Deletion and recovery
Deleting a look moves it to Recently Deleted, where its records and original photos remain available for recovery. This release has no in-app permanent-erase control or automatic purge. Exported copies and system backups remain under the controls of the places you saved them.
Tonebook is a separate choice
Opening the optional Tonebook App Store link does not transfer journal photos, notes, tags or wear history. Tonebook’s online color analysis needs a separate suitable face selfie and its own consent flow; some features require payment.
